Emmi-Pet Teeth Cleaning for Dog’s and Cat’s

Emmi-Pet Teeth Cleaning

“Our Emmi-Pet teeth-cleaning sessions form an important part of your dog’s and cat’s overall wellness routine, helping remove built-up plaque and freshening breath for a happier, healthier smile.”

“Just as coat and skin care support physical health, gentle ultrasonic teeth cleaning supports oral hygiene — targeting hidden tartar and helping keep gums comfortable.”

“We treat every dog and cat as an individual: with the Emmi-Pet teeth cleaning we adapt the approach to your pet’s age, dental condition and comfort level, ensuring the experience is calm, safe and effective.”

“Minor gum sensitivity or light staining may appear — just like shedding or matting signal coat issues, these are signs the mouth has had work to do. Proper maintenance can make a real difference.”

“Including teeth-cleaning alongside grooming means we’re not just helping your dog look great, we’re helping them feel great from nose to tail — and from gums to coat.”

An initial consultation that includes your pet’s first deep clean is required before starting any treatments – see prices and package options on our online booking page, or visit our clinic page to book an appointment if you’re less local!

Emmi-Pet Case Study:

Ongoing Emmi-Pet Dental Care Journey

These photographs show the progress achieved over 7 Emmi-Pet treatments between 1st May and 16th June, with further treatments still planned before transitioning onto a regular maintenance schedule.

This lovely 11-year-old dog was recommended for dental treatment under anaesthetic by their veterinary practice. Concerned about the anaesthetic due to their dog’s age, the owners chose to explore the Emmi-Pet route and committed to a programme of regular treatments alongside home care.

We are delighted with the progress achieved so far and look forward to continuing this journey before moving onto monthly and then 6-weekly maintenance appointments.

Every dog is different and results vary depending on age, oral health, existing tartar build-up, home care and commitment to ongoing maintenance. While many dogs benefit from regular Emmi-Pet treatments, no specific results can ever be guaranteed.

Emmi-Pet is designed to support ongoing oral health, maintenance and prevention. Cases like this highlight why it is so important not to wait until dental concerns become advanced before taking action. Prevention is always better than cure, and introducing regular dental care early can help support healthy teeth and gums throughout a dog’s life.

In some cases, veterinary assessment and treatment may still be required, and for some dogs veterinary dental treatment under anaesthetic remains the most appropriate option. Emmi-Pet should never be considered a replacement for veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment.

A huge well done to this dedicated owner for investing in their dog’s oral health and wellbeing and for committing to their dog’s ongoing dental care journey.

As many of my lovely clients are Spaniels, I thought this was an interesting read to share.

The Royal Veterinary College’s VetCompass programme, the largest health study ever carried out on English Cocker Spaniels, analysed over 10,000 dogs.

One of the key findings? Periodontal (gum) disease was the most commonly diagnosed condition, affecting almost 21% of English Cocker Spaniels.

It’s a great reminder of why preventative dental care and regular maintenance are so important. Looking after your dog’s oral health can help keep their teeth and gums healthier for longer and may reduce the risk of more serious dental problems developing.
